What You Need to Know

RightCare from Scott & White Health Plan is the Medicaid Managed Care Program provided by Scott & White Health Plan (SWHP) which provides both medical and pharmacy benefits effective March 1, 2012.

Singulair – Preferred Drug List Status Change

Effective September 10, 2012 the PDL status of Singulair will move from preferred to non-preferred. The generic substitute, Montelukast, will become the preferred agent. The only exception will be Singulair granules, which will remain preferred as no generic is currently available for this dosage form. When the granules become available in generic form, the brand granules will be changed to non-preferred.

Please note: This is for the RightCare Medicaid Managed Care line of business ONLY. This PDL status change does not affect any other line of business associated with Scott and White Health Plan.
