Medicaid Renewal



As a Medicaid member, you were allowed to automatically keep your coverage due to the COVID-19 public health emergency. Based on the new federal law, continuous Medicaid eligibility ended March 31, 2023.

Make sure you stay covered:

  1. Update your contact information at or call 211 and select option 2.
  2. If you need to renew your coverage, you will receive a letter with instructions.
    • Texas Health and Human Services Commission will contact members when they need to renew. The letter will be in a yellow envelope that says "Action Required" in red. If you have a Your Texas Benefits account, you will receive the letter electronically.
  3. If you are still eligibile, you can continue Medicaid coverage.
  4. If you are no longer eligible, you have options. You may choose to explore Marketplace options through Baylor Scott & White Health Plan or call 866-522-2515 to speak to a licensed sales agent. Due to the American Rescue Act Plan for 2021, Marketplace coverage can be as low as $0 premium.
