RightCare is a Managed Care Organization (MCO) that provides STAR Medicaid services to qualified low-income Texans. We can provide a full range of health care — tailored to your needs — throughout our extensive healthcare network. Basically, it's how we make the Texas STAR Medicaid program even better for our members.
What is STAR?
STAR is the Texas Medicaid-managed care program that provides health benefits to qualified low-income Texans at no cost to them. This program covers children, newborns, pregnant women, and select families. STAR benefits include prenatal care, hospital care, prescription drugs, and more. Renew your benefits with the HHSC app
Typically, STAR benefits last up to six months. Near the end of your coverage, we’ll let you know it’s time to renew your plan. If your renewal is turned in late, there is a chance that you might lose your RightCare STAR Medicaid coverage and benefits.
There's no easier way to renew your benefits on time than with the Your Texas Benefits app, created by the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). Receive alerts, upload files and submit updates — including change of address or phone number — through your Android or iOS smartphone.
